Did you know that  Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson both gave speeches in Lawrenceburg

EVER WONDER
 how a street
or a town
or a building
came to be?

Did you know that Lawrenceburg  had a lake
 in the middle of it?
Did you know that O.C. Gatch and brother Charles Gatch of Aurora attempted to aid President Lincoln at Ford's Theatre?
Oliver Charles Gatch with the 89th Ohio Infantry was captured at the Battle of Chickamuaga and spent 17 months as a prisoner of war before he escaped. His older brother was a surgeon and while in Washington DC went to the preformance American Cousin. The brothers seats were across from the presidential box and were they first into the box area after someone called "the president has been shot, we need a doctor".
